In relationships, Calisa Harper has clear rules: no expectations, no commitments, no one gets hurt. She doesn’t need a diamond ring to bring her happiness. She just needs Jared. Fine, fit, and ferocious in bed, Jared is Calisa’s ideal combination of friend and lover. But the no-strings status they’ve shared for years is about to get very tangled.
Jared Williams is the kind of man most women long for: sexy, successful, and ready to settle down. He knows convincing the commitment-phobic Calisa that forever is nothing to fear won’t be easy-especially when his ex turns up with a daughter she never told him about. In a heartbeat, Jared and Calisa’s passion goes from fiery to fragile. He wants to hold on to the love they share but is terrified that their next night together could be their last . . .

Elle, I’ve always thought plot for The Forbidden Man is intriguing. I love forbidden love. Of course, I am a linear reader so I have to read book one first…
Thanks for being part of the hop
Thanks, Empi! I love forbidden love. And friends to lovers is my favorite. Hope you’ll give The Forbidden Man a try!
Thanks for participating in the Color of Love Blog Hop. As you very well know, I love your books. Can’t wait for #3.
Aw! Thank you, Nana! It means so much to me that you do.
My favorite is Damon Suede’s HOT HEAD: it’s funny, heartrending, steamy, and touching, and it really makes you think about the definition of family. It’s also the most humane treatment of 9/11 I’ve seen, and the firehouse scenes are so realistic that I wouldn’t be surprised if Suede had been a firefighter himself…
WOW! I’m going to have to check out this book. Sounds awesome!
My favorite book is Surrender by Brenda Jackson. I enjoyed it because Ashton was a man who knew who he wanted and went after her no holds barred.
Congratulations on the new release! It’s catnip-alert material and, oh, boy, I am close to nipping. 😀
I don’t really have a favourite romance novel. I haven’t been reading the genre for very long, actually—maybe two, three years?—and have yet to touch the classics and the veterans. There are yearly favourites. Favourite romance authors, too. But there hasn’t been a title that screams, “Absolute favourite romance novel ever!”
One of my fave reads this year is Sustained by Emma Chase. I love deconstructing-the-hero types of stories. I’m a heroine-centric reader, so I find a hero’s undoing especially enjoyable. Ha ha. I loved that the hero fell in love not only with the heroine, but also with her niblings. It’s a light read, and I was able to just kick back and relax all the while, occasionally swooning.
Ooh, but this year I also discovered the compelling romantic suspense of Pamela Clare. Total top-shelf stuff. In fact————— *unplugs computer lest I start rambling again and create another Wall of Text* XD
Thank you! My TBR list is growing! I’m going to purchase Sustained. It sounds interesting!
